Yedicihan International Solidarity Association
Yedicihan International Solidarity Association began its work in healthcare, most notably by helping to develop the facilities of Haydarpaşa Numune Hospital. In years when Turkey's health system was under strain, the association supported patients of limited means with both their medical examinations and the cost of their medicines. Opened on 9 November 1961 by a group of doctors and nurses, this door of charity has served with pride for more than sixty years.
In recognition of that sincere and sustained work, the association was granted the status of an “Association Working for the Public Benefit” by Council of Ministers Decision No. 6/2090, dated 10 August 1963. In an age when a war or a natural disaster in one corner of the world can affect us all, our 2023 congress adopted changes to the association's management and statutes that widened our field of work to include natural disasters, emergency relief and educational aid.

For a Better Future
To help people suffering deprivation because of war, natural disaster or terrorism.
To repair the homes of those whose houses have been destroyed or who have lost their livelihood.
To work, materially and spiritually, to build up the human being.
To help those denied education, the most basic of human rights.
To raise upright, well-rounded people both at home and abroad.
To deliver emergency relief quickly and dependably when disaster strikes.
To sustain support in healthcare, the field in which the association was founded.

Board of Directors
The door opened in 1961 by a group of doctors and nurses, in the simple hope of doing good, has remained open with that same resolve for more than sixty years.
In our founding years we focused on healthcare: we contributed to developing the facilities of Haydarpaşa Numune Hospital and met the examination and medicine costs of patients who could not afford them.
The status of an “Association Working for the Public Benefit”, granted by Council of Ministers Decision No. 6/2090 of 10 August 1963, was the official recognition of that effort.
We live in an age in which the world has become one large village, and a war or disaster in one region touches everyone. For that reason, our 2023 congress widened our field of work to cover natural disasters, emergency relief and educational aid.
Our aim is not only to meet a need. It is to repair homes, to stand beside those denied an education, and to build up the human being both materially and spiritually.
On this road our greatest support is the trust you place in us and the giving you entrust to our care.
Join us on our journey to build a better future for children around the world.
